Truffles!

Does anybody know what you should do if you find a truffle - of the fungal kind! Identifying and confirming it is the truffle would be the first thing I guess, any idea how to go about this? Thanks!

You could try eating it. If it tastes like a truffle, it probably is. If it doesn't, it's probably a lump of mud or dog poo.

Smell it. If it smells like slightly mouldy mushrooms then it's likely to be a truffle. Then you want to wrap it in some tissue and send it to me. Thanks.
