My kids love fishfingers, I always get the haddock birdseye ones, but, other than chips/smiley faces/alphabites/sandwiches, what else can you do with them?

boiled potato or mash with butter sauce and peas. that's what my mum always made with fish fingers. i now make that for DD but with vegetable fingers

WigWamBam · 12/12/2005 17:59

My dd likes them best with boiled new potatoes and carrots, but she's also quite happy to have rice, pasta, cous-cous, jacket potato or mash with them, and any veg that we happen to have in the fridge.

I would love them to try couscous, but think I may lose the battle with that one, they take after their father, who is a very very faddy eater.

Any form of potato would go with fishfingers.

Chipped, saute, boiled, mash, roasted!

You could make up a tomato and veggie sauce alongside it.

Home made potato wedgies; jacket potatoes, mash (also can mash in other root veggies such as carrot or swede).

I often do pasta instead of potatoes.
