Does anyone know whether it's better to substitute butter with non-dairy margarine or with vegetable oil when baking? I have used marg in the past and it's come out ok but I don't do a lot of baking. Just wondering if someone with more experience knew if there was a good reason to use on or the other. Thanks!

I use free from Sainsburys dairy free in baking and have done for a few years, it's the only dairy free (which we need) with any taste. However, the goats milk one may well taste great- just won't cut it dietary needs wise for us.

It's called FreeFrom. It's the best we've tried (and with three of us on the dairy free, we try a lot!)
