Is this chicken ok to cook or not?

went shopping but got delayed before getting home, so I had two chicken fillets in the boot of the car for five hours on quite a hot day. Should I ditch or will they be ok? I never know quite how careful you need to be with chicken... And it is for my kids... Thanks

Probably be ok, how do they smell?

i would probably eat them myself but not give them to the kids.

the problem is that they will have been sat in ideal conditions for any bacteria to multiply. so they may smell/look fine right now, but actually not be that great.

i mean, if you're going ot make a casserole and they'll be cooked hot for a nice long time you'll prob ok... but as I say, i wouldn't risk it with the kids

I don't know, haven't opened yet, although I always find the smell horrible when I open the packet, so I don't know if I'd trust my judgement...!
