edible glitter

OK - stupid question!
I am making dd a chocolate cake for her birthday party next week. I have the perfect recipe, and also a great chocolate butter icing to go on top.
I am a bit stuck for extra special decorations though, so I thought I would chuck some edible glitter on it.
What colour would work best on chocolate? And any other ideas for a really impressive decoration?
I normally do a Victoria sponge with chantilly cream and loads of fresh fruit, but dd doesn't want it this year :( so not used to fancy decorations, we've always been a bit more 'rustic'

Use gold flakes rather than glitter which has a tendency to look a bit grubby and clumpy unless you can brush it out (which you can't on chocloate)

I think they are bril and achieves a real professional look!

Thanks everyone! I think I am going to have to do a test run! I am not really sure what kind of look I am trying to go for, just assuming glitter on a cake will do the job for a bunch of 6 year olds! Maybe with some sparklers!
Thanks - lots to htink about and will try the spray too. They are called Pearl lustre and dd is called Pearl so got to be worth a bash!
