freezing potato

quick one - can you freeze potato
or does it go all yucky when defrosted, like melted rubber

I freeze jacket spuds and mash.

I think it depends on whether you freeze the potatoes separately or with something. I personally have had no luck freezing shepherds pie - I think the gravy soaked into the potato does something funny to it when it freezes (or when it defrosts - or perhaps I'm just doing it wrong!)

So far, yes. I've frozen potato, courgette and broccoli mash together and it's defrosted ok. Ds didn't think much of it, but that's another question!
