Chilled ready meals for babies

Hello... can any one recommend any fresh chilled ready meals for infants.. my baby is nearly one, I've never fed him any jars or pouches, but since being back at work am struggling to find time to cook.. I've seen Annabel Karmel does fresh microwave meals in the chilled section.. more appealing than the ones stored at room temp with long shelf lives! Anyone tried them... or know of any other ready meals..?

What do you eat? We used them very rarely they weren't particularly good. Whatever we ate I used to cook without salt and then freeze what was left over.

I only tried the M and S ones - not a hit. I would just plan easy meals for work days - pasta, casseroles you could make and freeze, portions of cottage pie to freeze. DS didn't have any purees so no jars and he didn't like the texture of the ready made stuff, would rather have cheese on toast or random bits of sliced ham, tomato, cucumber breadsticks etc like a little picnic

Personally, I would say Little Dish are not bad, but AK are horrible - tasteless, overly salty & actually look pretty yuk as well.

Otherwise, what 5gomad says - we tend to do a big dish every weekend and freeze individual portions.

Thanks for the replies... the Annabel Karmel ones really don't look appetising so will give them a miss! We normally eat meat and 2 veg type meals or casseroles.. so generally he can have what we have, but am just finding work exhausting and have had a few lazy evenings! Might give Little Dish a try.. can anyone recommend a favorite flavour?!

I didn't use them, but my friend tried lots of them (terrible MS and couldn't face cooking for her toddler when pregnant). She concluded they were not good value for money.

I'd second batch cooking at the weekend, or keeping it simple eg pasta. I expect your baby has a main meal at lunchtime at nursery/childminder, so there's no need to bust a gut in the kitchen imho.
