Make Gravalax no need to cook at all.
Or have you got a dishwasher? If so wrap salmon in foil very tightly put in top basket run dishwasher - perfectly cooked poached salmon at end of cycle.

i thought about making gravadlax and bought some dill but i was then informed that i'd be the only one eating it! don't have a dishwasher either - these things haven't reached wales yet!!

Unless you need whole fish fillet for dinner party, why don't you portion it and freeze it?

Make salmon en croute

Or salmon couillibiac (I can never spell it but it is fab)

Whoops, just noticed that this thread is a couple of days old. Sorry, Swansea. You have probably used the salmon anyway. I PMed you the recipes.
