The gas hob/oven is on the blink and I'm left with just a microwave. DS adores scrambled egg, and it turns out the microwave makes a better scrambled egg for me than the hob and a saucepan ever have!
Beat one egg in a microwaveable bowl, add a dollop of butter and a splash of milk. Mix. Microwave for 20 seconds, remove, stir, microwave again for 30 and hey presto - fluffy egg! (sometimes it takes a little longer, guess that depends on how big a dolloper and a splasher you are!)
Anyone got anything else surprising that I can make with my microwave while I'm waiting for the gas to be fixed? Rice has been good... have yet to try pasta!
