How long (and at what temp) do I cook a chicken that weighs.........

2.5kg??? My brain has gone all fuzzy and I can't work it out

I reckon about 30mins per 500g plus 30 mins. So about 3 hours. Cooked one yesterday (mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm) at 170c in a fan oven. Probably 180 in conventional.

ps instructions usually say less, but I like to make sure it's definitely cooked. I cover with foil so as not to over-brown.

thanks - I though it was about that - I seem to recall about 25 minutes per 450g.

i cooked that last night! The instructions made it out to be about 2.5 hours, but I took the foil off after that and left it another half hour to make sure it properly done.
