Thanks

wow, I was going to ask just the same thing! Thanks! Someone try them and let us know what they taste like!

I'll be making them 10 days before Christmas Day!! Need something to put them in - do you know where I can get little sellophane-type bags? Or little boxes??!

Lakeland I'm sure!

their website is horribly slow at the moment, but I'm sure they'll have something suitable.

There are some nice gold ones here if you scroll down. Or if you're anywhere near Richmond there's an excellent cook shop that sells that kind of stuff.

yes, this is Nigel Slater's recipe more or less. They are yummy.
Make sure you don't let the cream overheat or you will get a curdled yukkiness (I know from experience!)

Also dot1, I would make them nearer to Christmas if you could, they need to be in the fridge but even so best not kept much beyond 10 days (or else tell everyone to eat them on the day!

fab - have ordered those bags - they're gorgeous and just what I was looking for! Yes, will make them a week before Christmas so they're done (must make a few extra to eat during the week..!)
