Freezing cooked chicken

Just accidently defrosted too many chicken thighs (DH late home at short notice!), so will have chicken casserole left over.

Can I refreeze? I can never remember the rules.

Yep - well I do. I am sure you can freeze it raw. Then cook it, and freeze again. I do it all the time and we are fine.

Yes you can refeeze it as long as it is cooked and not raw.

I wouldnt, personally.

If it was frozen raw then you can cook then refreeze, if it was previously frozen cooked then you cannot refreeze
