Need a new idea for a tray bake type cake to make for my son's 4th birthday. He is (like his dad) a manchester blue so am making him a footy top cake so the tray bake shape is a good base. I normally make a fudgy chocolate brownie for the kids birthday cakes, saves all that cutting and filling business. But I fancied a change this time and wondered if anyone has any recipes for a different kind of cake that would work in the tray?
