I'd say yes too

mckenzie · 03/12/2005 21:26

I'd say yes too as I've done it before. I often buy the big pack cos it's cheaper and then split it and freeze it in separate portions. Hasn't done me nay harm yet

dolally · 03/12/2005 21:27

tx to you both, third opinion anyone?

I've split it and frozen it into smaller portions as well, as dh is the only one that eats it, so I'd say yes as well.

dolally · 03/12/2005 21:30

Ta all, I think I will, cos I can't now just leave it in the fridge.... or maybe I'll have to eat it and lash out on yet another packet!

um, i don't think it will be as nice, might go a bit "coooked-ish"

but if you are going to cook it in pasta or scrabled eggs it will be ok.

followthestarlover · 03/12/2005 21:37

yes it'll be fine! we used to get frozen smoked salmon to usse in the restaurant and it was fine!

NannyL · 03/12/2005 23:40

You CAN freeze smoked salmon and its absolutely fine...

my old boss used to have a salmon buisness (which she now only dies at Xmas) and gets her whole years supply in 1 massive order which is frozen and got out as and when required!
