My 13 month old daughter has started refusing most foods. She used to eat anything we gave her but since turning 1, has started refusing food, throwing it on the floor. She always has a good breakfast but when it comes to lunch and tea its gets very stresseful! We always made her food ourselves, giving her the occasional jar but now she will eat jars but not our homemade food! She will eat toast, bread, fruit, yoghrts and waffles, no veg at all! im tearing my hair out worrying that she isnt getting enough variety! Has anyone got any advice or tips for me please???

Don't worry, her eating habits will change a thousand times between now and age 16. In a month's time, let alone a year, you'll be fretting over something new!

This is a phase, and IME kids' phases become fewer but last increasingly longer as they get older.

Just let her have what she wants and try not to fret. She'll change again before you know it.

I would just relax, eat with her - serve her good food and don't let on to her that you are worried. The more of an issue it becomes, and the more you try to persuade her to eat, the more she is likely to resist!

My 12 month old won't eat veg either, so I do resort to blending veg up and hiding it in bolognese sauce etc Grin

Aw thankyou ladies, its so hard not to get stressed when I try my best to give her good food and she just throws it on the floor! I'll try not to stress about it. Thanks again. x
