Muffins - your favourite

Can't stop making muffins these days. What are your favourite sweet muffin combinations that I could try? I'm happy with my basic recipe, just want good adding ideas.

I've done apricot and granola
apricot and coconut (flaked almonds on top)
banana and granola
blueberry and pecan

lemon
this is a great book with loads of ideas

Might treat myself to a book, thanks.

When you say lemon, do they just include zest and juice? Anything more?

Come on now. Throe some more muffin combos at me.

lemon zest in the muffins themselves, plus some raisins are nice
Then a thin glaze made with icing sugar, lemon juice and a little zest.
They are heavenly

Jaffa Cake muffins are divine!

I like the sound of them, roisin.

Whereas jaffa cake ones... Go on. How do you do them

Make up your normal plain muffin mix, when it comes to putting the mix in the cases, add a dollop to the bottom of each one, then put a tablespoon of shredless marmalade in. fill case up with batter. Once cooked dip tops in melted chocolate and leave to cool.

The Magnolia Bakery in NY also does a great book with loads of muffin recipes that you can buy here - includes some nice wholewheat ones which you can eat with slightly less guilt!

I like the idea of Jaffa cake muffins.

And just because my daughter loves them, I often put a couple handfuls of raisins in any muffins I make.
