Help, how many eggs?

It's dd2's birthday tomorrow and we are in the middle of moving so everything is boxed up. The only cake(ish) tin I have out is a rectangular one which is 26x19cm (7.5x10inches) and around 4cm deep.

So, I do a basic 2 to 1 mix, but how many eggs do you think it will need? Also how long in a gas oven?

Thanks if you can help, I really must get more organised next time!

7.5" x 10" is approximately the same size as a 9" round pan although a little on the shallow side. Alternatively, it is about double a 7" round pan. If you find a mix for a 7" Rd Victoria Sponge Sandwich (2 layers) that should be about right. 3 medium eggs should do it.

Good luck!
