I mean, do you have to peel them? Can you cook with them?
What would happen if I put them in a chilli?

Don't peel them. Don't cook them!

Two good things to do -

dip them in baked camembert

slice thinly and mix into a salsa thing with halved cherry tomatoes, diced red pepper, red or spring onion, coriander - this would be lovely on the side of your chilli.

Otherwise get some cream cheese and grind lots of black pepper over it. Dip the radishes in it.

Okay . . .

I'll not stick them in the chilli that is this week's answer to "what on earth will we do with all these things in the veg box?"

All I ever do is top and tail them and put in salad

Daydreaming · 02/08/2011 21:18

Wash them, slice them. Great in a salad with cherry tomatoes and cucumber.

FreeButtonBee · 02/08/2011 21:23

dip them in hummus; even the leaves (well cleaned) they are like rocket!

Popbiscuit · 02/08/2011 21:31

I think they are yummy on their own...sort of thirst-quenching like celery. I did see a recipe somewhere once for chilli where they sliced radishes to garnish the top along with sour cream, diced avocadoes etc. Oooh...now I want that for dinner.

Don't forget they are also good for carving into flowers (never done this) and making Annabel Karmel pizza faces or mouse ears for jacket potatoes that your DC will never eat!

Horrid things, wash top and tail, slice feed to DHGrin

Ooh, slice them, put them on bread and butter. Add salt. Enjoy.

Or lose the bread, just eat with butter and salt. Honestly! 'Tis tradition.
