help! trying to make jelly boats!

I'm making the Annabel Karmel jelly boats for my dd's 2nd birthday party tomorrow. Do you really need to scrape out all the white membrane or is it ok if some is left? It's going to take me forever and she's waking up from her nap, arghhh. Knew it was a mistake to try and be domestic goddess!

I doubt any 2 year olds will notice. Or 10 year olds. If you can't get it out then they won't be able to either.

I made those once for dd's birthday (7th I think).
Most of her friends looked like they were scared of them and suspiciously eyed them up!
I had to explain that you could eat them and it was only jelly!
Didn't bother again.
