flapjack rescue

My flapjacks are too sticky and squidgy. I've tasted a bit and they are also too sweet.
The mixture looked a bit runny. I think I made a mistake in my calculations as I was doing 1.5 times my usual fail-safe recipe.
I was wondering about putting them back in the oven until it starts melting again and then stir in some more oats. Has anyone tried anything like this?

No harm in trying?

I tried Boysarelikedogs idea. But it's too sticky to harden. So we are eating it in spoonfuls mixed with yoghurt. It tastes good though.
