Rice crispies, melted chocolate.

Actually, there have been loads of requests for these on MN - if you manage to get the right search, you'll find recipes int he archives.

I have no idea about quantities I just melt more chocolate or add more crispies if I get it wrong first time.

Top tip though: add a desert spoon of golden syrup (or a teaspoon if only making half a dozen). It helps the mixture bind together & tastes great.

Oh, and always use decent quality cooking chocolate - it makes all the difference.

sorry, didn't think to look in the archives!

My kids & grandchildren love these......

CHOCOLATE CARAMEL SLICES

2 King Size Mars Bars
3 ozs. Butter
1 tablespoon Golden Syrup
3 cups of Rice Crispies
Melted chocolate to cover (approx. 150g)

Put butter, syrup and chopped mars bars in a basin and melt in the microwave for 2-3 mins.(take care not to burn the chocolate).
Stir in the rice crispies.
Press into a square tin (7"x7")or (8"x8") lined with foil.
Melt chocolate then pour over the crispies. Refrigerate until set, then cut into squares.

(i usually lift out of the tin before cutting as you could damage your tin with the knife)

Enjoy ;-)
