Is there any curry recipe out there that is "creamy" that is also low fat?

If you want creamy you'll need a low fat dairy product, or possibly low fat coconut milk.
None of those are low fat really though, just lower than the full fat versions.
I'd suggest a few curries, two or three low/no fat with boiled rice and then a very small spoon of a creamy curry.

Yeah, it doesn't exist!
I have to avoid too much dairy for health reasons, and I also love creamy curry, but I find three or four dishes when I do a curry is fine, and I just have a small portion of the dairy one.
I usually do a chicken dish with chilli, garlic, and coriander. Tikka masala with green veg, Dahl with optional boiled eggs, and potato korma. The korma is calorific but vegan as it's based on coconut milk and chickpeas.
I also do rice, naan and cucumber salad.

(disclaimer - I haven't actually tried this)

Tandoori is low fat, depending on how much oil you use.

I've tried the no fat Greek yoghurt. It's really claggy and a lot like melted pritt stick.

You can make a massaman curry with cans of chopped tomatoes instead of coconut milk.

Slimming world has a fabulous low fat curry recipe - I've adapted it slightly because it didn't have enough veg in it for my taste.
You first cook the onion in about 400ml stock reducing the liquid right down leaving quite sticky onions. Then add all the spices, diced chicken breast, whatever veg you fancy - I add mushrooms, peppers and spinach and about another 100ml stock.
Cook for around 20 minutes til chicken thoroughly cooked.
Now, very important, let it cool quite a bit before adding about 5 tbsp of very low fat natural yogurt. Don't add it when the curry is too hot or it will split. It doesn't affect the flavour but it doesn't look very appetising.
Serve with rice. Delicious.

Thanks everyone! I will try those out, I love Massaman curry and didn't know you could put boiled eggs with dal which I love. I am a bit of a curry novice really and not massively adventurous but I really want to shift a few pounds and the local curry house is great but swimming in oil like alot of curries Grin

If you replace the yogurt in this for low fat/fat free, then it would be pretty good. It's also delicious!
