Egg and nut free cake for dd's birthday?

Does anyone have a good cake recipe without egg or nuts? I have searched here but most seem to have one or the other. www's link found some, but they are all in US measurements and I'm worried they won't turn out!! (Unless someone knows the diff if any between US and Aust cup/spoon measures?)
Any recipes at all would be much appreciated (esp by dd!)
Thanx!

I a chocolate cake from here veganchocolate cake today which was good and I just used my NZ cups. I didn't have any vinegar so I put in two tpsn of Orgran No Egg, Egg replacer instead and it turned out well. My top tip is to grease the tin really well as these cakes don't hold together as well.

I've never seen such an underutilised thread!! I made the chocolate cake again today (actually into 12 large muffins which I will freeze) and instead of the water substituted soya milk and orange juice. Both have added calcium which is important for me not eating dairy. I think this is even nicer - sort of Terry's chocolate orange substitute cake.I miss chocolate

Sorry I haven't contributed! I usually have loads of ideas too! AWW has a conversion chart in the back of their books (I think) between UK, US and Aussie measurements. Their books are wonderful, can you get your hands on one? Try their website!

Thanx sunchowder - do you mean Aust Wmns' Weekly? I'll have to check! Meanwhile have found a Barbie bride caketin I can hire for $3.50 for 4 days, and will turn it into a fairy cake as she's having a fairy theme. Very exciting!
