Sour cherries

We have loads of really sharp sour cherries on a tree at school. I hate to see them go to waste.

Any ideas clever people?

Cherry pie?
Anything with sugar.

Sour cherries make the most amazing jam. We have a tree and our family and friends are always excited when cherry jam time comes around.
I don't imagine you'll be able to make it with the kids at school but there must be a staff member or parent who's into jam making.
