Pasta and prawn Salad

Got a big bbq coming up and would love a cheap recipe for pasta and prawn salad and do i put in mayo to hold it together?

Mayo and ketchup = Marie Rose sauce with some finely chopped peppers or pineapple or cucumber or maybe sweetcorn or whatever is kicking about you've got your pasta salad. You could add a wee drop chilli purée or Tabasco too.

ok thanks i will use marie rose sauce(thats exactly what i wanted to know) and some sweetcorn. Will defrosted frozen prawns be ok? i spose so or it will be too expensive to make?

Yeah its best made with little prawns anyway, deformed them then dry then out using kitchen roll squeeze them really well doesn't matter if they break up a bit but salad will be a bit watery if you don't.

This is nice if you don't want to use mayo.
