Have spotted a mention of a choc fruit cake from a Nigella cook book. Is anyone able to let me have this, as I'm looking for an alternative christmas cake this year. also, any other ideas much appreciated. (usually do delia's rich fruit cake and fancy a change)

Do you mean the Italian Christmas cake? It does include chocolate, also nuts, pine nuts and apple. It's lovely and I can find the recipe if that's the one you mean.

I'm at work at the moment, so it will have to wait until tonight or tomorrow if that's not too late. The only problem I've had with this cake is that the recipe doesn't state how far in advance you can make it. I don't think you can keep if for months/years as you can traditional fruit cake, but it seems to keep for a couple of weeks without drying out.

It is in FEAST and is a chocolate christmas cake. I have the recipe at home, but I may have posted it already. I'll have a look for you

Not sure if the black cake recipe is the one i'm after (although it sounds scrummy). Seems to be a serious lack of chocolate though .
