Pomegranate Seeds?

The DSes are mad for pomegranate (pomegranite?) at the moment. But it's hard work convincing DS1 to spit out the seeds, and DS2 won't do it at all.

Am I right in assuming they're not toxic or harmful?

nope we eat them with seeds and all.

I thought you were meant to eat the seeds..what else is there?!

NotQuiteCockney · 23/11/2005 18:10

I eat the red bits, around the seeds, but not the seeds themselves.

It's a bit gross, with all the spitting out, but the seeds are quite bitter, I find.

At least I know not to worry about the kids eating the seeds, maybe I'll give up hassling them to spit them out, too.

I have always eaten the seeds

WigWamBam · 23/11/2005 18:24

I've always eaten the seeds too - it would be just too much faffing around to spit them all out, pomegranates are fiddly enough as it is!

Blandmum · 23/11/2005 18:24

TBH I don't think I've ever finshed eating one! Too much faff!

Nightynight · 23/11/2005 18:46
