as it says above really; I seem to remember reading or eating that you can eat the shoots when pinching out sweet peas.

Does anyone know if this true?!

Thanks

I don't know,I do know that the seeds are poisonous.

We sometimes get a bag of what's labelled as "pea shoots" in our vegbox which are delicious. Are those the same as "sweet pea shoots"? (I have the blackest of black thumbs...)

No pea shoots are from garden peas or green peas. From a vegetable. 'Sweet pea' is the name of a lovely flower with poisonous seeds so the op needs more info before she eats them. Please don't eat them yet OP!!!

Thank you!

We have peas at the allotment and always eat the shoots from them. The sweet peas are the flowers in the garden. I've googled it quickly but am still doubtful. Think I'll give them a miss!
