How do I cool baked cheesecake ?

I think you're supposed to leave in the oven til it cools down, but then my recipe talks about pushing the edges in in the first few minuts of cooling down so it's even after it collapses iyswim Confused Also oven will be still very hot, so will it keeep on baking?

Help! It's my first attempt at making cheesecake and DCs are waiting for it in great suspense, don't want to mess it up.

The one I do - you need to leave it to cool in the oven but with the door ajar. Minimises cracking.

Thanks. I left it in the oven with the doors ajar, but then closed it by accident so it looks a bit dry now. Hmm. Feels quite springy, though.
