Most of the lapsed Veggies I know, either "cracked" on one of the following, the smell of a bacon sandwich, of the smell of the turkey cooking all day.

So come on..............tell all

I'm a vegan of 10 years, but have recently started to eat eggs from my mums pet chickens, and also local organic honey, I couldn't ever eat meat again - just couldn't live with the guilt or the yuck factor! It was really weird having eggs again..the kids keep begging me to stop the cooked breakfasts! lol

Going to whisper this but in this pregnancy when I was at the pre 3 month stage of hating any sort of food and not fancying eating anything coupled with the stress I was under with the house saga we went to McDonalds one day and I had a 1/4lber with cheese and it was lovely [BLUSH][BLUSH][BLUSH] blamed it on the baby having it's father carnivire tendencies.

Used to have to eat meat at work for taste tests etc don't think you can work in the food industry and be veggie. Used to spit most of it out though as it tasted awful to me.

I was a veggie for 5 years and cracked and had fish and chips while on hols with dp. mmmmmmmm it was yummy.

But yes it was a BACON sarnie that got me back into meat i hte end. Just couldnt resist it esp with hangover.

I was veggie for 15 yrs, then a couple of years ago we had an organic turkey at christmas and I couldn't resist a little taste in the kitchen, it was soooooooo good. Then dh made me an organic bacon sandwich with fresh bread from the bread maker and brown sauce it tasted just like I had imagined bacon sandwiches to taste for years!
Been gradually slipping since then, only organic and not very often but I haven't told my mum yet, she's been veggie for over 30 yrs and I'm a wimp

Loads of my friends 'cracked'with a bacon/hp sauce sandwich as did I!

I also cracked w/a bacon/HP sarnie when I first moved to Scotland. It was soooo cold. And DH came home munching one. I said, 'What's that?' He said, 'A bacon roll. Have you not had one?'

The rest is history . . .

Now I really fancy one but have no bacon in the house.

If DPs and DDs (the meat eaters in the house) are anything to go by then...YES
