I made & froze some chicken pies, took it out of the freezer & put it in the fridge at 7am (before going to work) but it is still frozen (now sitting on the counter, covered.

I need to cook it at 7.30, will it be ok if it's not completly thawed?

Is the chicken inside cooked or raw?

If raw, not really, also they would dethaw faster in the oven on fan only (no heat)

If cooked before frozen then would be fine, just take a little longer.

Put them in the oven with just the fan on and they'll defrost in time

Personally, I would just cook it at a slightly higher temp than usual for about 30 mins, then lower it to normal temp for 15 mins or til its piping hot throughout. As long as you make sure the pie is steaming hot, it would be fine

Thanks for the replies. I will pop it in the oven with the fan on now.

It's cooked pie filling btw.
