Butter icing ... can I freeze it and if not, how long ...

well, butter keeps for ages, and so does sugar, so I would say for quite a while. You can freeze butter too, so I can't see why not with butter icing!

yes you can freeze it, unless the butter had already been frozen. In the fridge - it really doesn't last - it mysteriously gets eaten
