Hiya, bit of a weird one but what foods/drinks do you think smell great but taste disappointing?
Like fruit teas, for example....

bread, it smells gorgeous when being baked but the taste is a bit boring compared to the smell,

AS a vegetarian lots of things smell quite nice that I wouldn't eat.
Roast lamb,bacon, and strangely kippers!

Chocolate - I used to live within a winds breath of 2 Chocolate factories - no Chocolate has EVER tasted as good as it smelt on the air :(

I used to live near a whiskey distillary and on a good day it smelled yeasty/peachy.I 'm pretty sure it doesn't taste as nice.

Coffee smells nice but tastes so bad it makes me sick.

Chip shops always smell divine but the chips never taste it I will keep trying though

Fruit teas - always smell of what they are supposed too but all taste the same (and nothing like they are supposed to).

HattiFattner · 01/06/2011 14:05

bacon smells delish but always dissappoints, as does coffee.

yy to fruit teas

Celeriac. I sometimes buy it just to sniff it. The taste is very weak in comparison to the smell.

Definitely coffee. Smells so lovely but is just bitter.
