Is lemon curd alright for a one year old?

I may be being overly neurotic but my dh gave ds some lemon curd on toast this morning and I'm sure it contains raw eggs... I'm hoping that on this occasion the hideous amount of chemicals in it would kill any bacteria. What do you think?

Is it homemade? Homemade stuff the eggs would be slightly cooked, I have given it to my DSs but I don't suppose everyone would. If it was shop bought it would be absolutely fine.

at one year they can eat pretty much ANYTHING except whole nuts! (oh and things full of salt!)

if its full of chemicals i doubt its home made, and therefore unlikely to contain raw egg!

I would be dubiouse about giving ANYone raw egg... even myself!

Shop-bought and chemical-packed! Thanks, you've given me the reassurance I needed, I doubt there was anything 'real' in that jar anyway...
