I have a packet of Atora vegetable suet. Is it really bad? should I use butter instead?

Confused You're the one with the packet? Why not look at the ingredients??

I don't have the box. It was requisitioned at some stage for a junk model spaceship!

I found the bag in the back of the larder cupboard and thought I should use it up.

It is fat.

It isn't a trans fat. Trans fats are fucked about fats.
Suet is just fat

debka · 21/05/2011 11:33

Ah but it's VEGETARIAN suet the OP has pag, goodness knows what's in it.

Pagwatch · 21/05/2011 11:37

Oh goodness
Hadn't spotted that it was vegetable suet - googling took 20 seconds.
It is hydrogenated oil. So bad.

QualiaQuale · 21/05/2011 11:38

you want proper suet, fat trimmed from around kidneys, nom hydrogenated gubbins.
