Campfire food

Ds is asking to make something he made at Cub Camp: they rolled dough around sticks and held it over the fire to cook. When it was cooked, they slid it off the end of the stick and filled the cavity with jam.

Any recipes?

I could trial-and-error it, but I'm not terribly good at any dough other than bread dough because it would have to be dairy-free.

I remember this from guides, am sure that it's just flour and water wrapped round a green stick (without the bark on) and then when it's cooked add butter and jam whilst it's still hot. The dough just has to be sticky enough to stay on the stick whilst it's still cooking.

Hope you have fun trying it out :)
