Frozen spinach- what can I do with it?

I have a large bag of the above in my freezer. It's in good condition, but it needs using. The spinach is frozen into smallish chunks. It's not home grown!

Any ideas what I could add it to?

Thanks

Lamb (& spinach) curry.

(spanish) omlette, pesto type pasta sauce, potato and spinach curry

We put it in soup, curry, pasta sauce - it goes with lots of things.

It's great popped in curries and is also fine for making spinach and ricotta lasagne.

i do spinach with a couple of poached eggs on top with Delia's foaming hollandaise and a few thin slices of grilled chorizo sausage to garnish.

Add to pancetta, Marscapone and sun dried tomatoes and pour over cooked gnocchi. Yum

all of the above & nice added to scrambled eggs & hot smoked salmon with a bit of dill & creme frais too :)

HannahHack · 13/05/2011 16:20

Put it into meatballs, 2/3 meat 1/3 spinach.

Or make a pasta sauce out of a pit of creme fraiche, bacon, garlic and a few blocks of spinach.

Hope that helps.

Is it chopped or leaf?

fergoose · 13/05/2011 17:19

defrost, squeeze out water then mix with cooked onion and garlic and crumbled feta and make into a pie with filo pastry.

winnybella · 13/05/2011 17:23

I defrost it and then sautee it with lots of garlic, salt and pepper and serve as a side dish with meat.

Albrecht · 13/05/2011 17:47
