What to do with my whole chicken?

Any ideas what I can do with/put on my whole chicken that I'm roasting for tea tonight?

Yum, I'm roasting one tonight too!!

Usually I just go mega simple - some butter under the skin, salt, pepper and half a lemon, some bashed garlic cloves and a handful of thyme stuffed up its bum.

I may go a bit fancier tonight and put some slices of lemon and tarragon under the breast skin as well.

In the past I've done a whole roast tandoori chicken which was amazing but requires marinading overnight. It is truly impressive though.

I often serve with a sort of deconstructed stuffing but usually just with a green salad and maybe some roasted potatoes/veg round the chicken in the pan.
