OP posts:
LucyJones · 08/11/2005 20:23

20 minutes - tuna, pasta, broccoli, sweetcorn, mayonnaise

moondog · 08/11/2005 20:24

Pasta tossed with smoked salmon, capers, creme fraiche, fresh dill and lemon.

Bag of salad and or baby spinach with home made vinaigrette (big stock always available in a jar in a fridge) and crushed walnuts.

Ready in time it takes to do the pasta-15 mins???

Ericblack · 08/11/2005 20:32

Smash, grated cheese, shape into patties (!!!) and fry in Ruskoline until golden. Serve with frozen peas. Hence carb, protein and veg. Excellent for hangovers. Completely rejected as a viable meal by almost everyone I've ever met.

moondog · 08/11/2005 20:33

Eb..are you surprised???
WTF is Ruskoline???

Ericblack · 08/11/2005 20:54

You are clearly very classy Moondog! It's the orange stuff that coats a fish finger.

compo · 08/11/2005 20:55

readymade lasagne, oven chips and frozen peas

Gomez · 08/11/2005 20:56

bacon/pasta/passata & marscarpone cheese - fresh pasta so about 10mins, quickly frying bacon at same time as boiling water. Throw it all together. Yum!

moondog · 08/11/2005 20:58

Can you actually buy it EB???

Ericblack · 08/11/2005 21:02

I see you are now tempted moondog. You can even buy it in Sainsbury's (apostrophe anxiety) who have their own brand, which I favour.

expatinscotland · 08/11/2005 21:04

Jacket potatoes!

moondog · 08/11/2005 21:04

I might go in next time I'm home to stare at it in fascinated horror (like I do in Iceland for a larf on occasion.)

I wouldn't dream of going to Iceland although the recent Kerry Katona (Sp?) adverts make it very tempting.

Gomez · 08/11/2005 21:06

EB if you used proper supds as opposed to smash you could tempt me with that combo!

felicity24 · 08/11/2005 21:08

just wanted to say have ruskoline in my cupboard never used it but its there

Ericblack · 08/11/2005 21:10

Gomez - Sadly on a gateaux du fromages night I'm too knackered to peel and mash spuds. We're talking 5 minutes for the Smash version. In any case, the taste would be way too natural and wholesome. Like your name by the way.

moondog · 08/11/2005 21:10

Oh I don't buy EB...merely gaze at the exhibits...

saadia · 08/11/2005 21:11

Crack egg, add grated cheese and chopped tomatoes, fry omelette in butter, put inside pitta bread - never timed it but would guess not longer than 15mins.

Ericblack · 08/11/2005 21:13

Can't believe that Ruskoline has made me feel more HEARD on MN than any other thread I've been on. Brilliant! Any queries on Ruskoline I'd be delighted to answer. Should be watching worthy film on BBC4 but know my true level.

moondog · 08/11/2005 21:14

lol eb!
Sounds like something from a californian supermarket circa 1959.

paolosgirl · 08/11/2005 21:15

Spaghetti carbonara? Boil the spaghetti. While it's cooking, fry an onion, some chopped bacon and add lots of garlic, pepper and a bit of salt. Add 4/6 tablespoons of double cream, couple of whisked eggs and chopped parsley of you've got, and then add mixture to pasta. Heat from pasta will cook egg mixture. Serve with salad and big glass red wine! 15 mins to cook.

helsi · 08/11/2005 21:19

no more than 30 mins....ring take away and order!!

Ericblack · 08/11/2005 21:19

So does Iceland MD!

Hi Aimsmum. It so does. Consistency vital though. Add less water than you normally (!!!) would for the cakes to hold their shape in piping hot sunflower oil or olive oil for those special nights.
