im not gonna have time to go to my local kebab place tonight to ask them but a few weeks ago the guy that works there did me a pitta bread with chilli sauce in it with some cheese which he then put back on the grill and melted.

it was yum and i cannot get enough of them at mo. just wondered if there was a way to make chilli sauce at home from scratch?

any ideas . TIA

I don't know if this is the same kind of Chili you mean, this is an American version:

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup chopped onions
2 green bell peppers, chopped
2/3 cup sweet pickle relish
1/2 cup cider vinegar
2 cups chili sauce
1/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
few dashes hot pepper sauce or ground cayenne pepper
PREPARATION:

Combine all ingredients in a large saucepan. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes
