Can anyone please tell me, if I fry bacon, can I then freeze it and microwave it, when I want it for my breakfast? I don't always have time to cook it in the morning. Thanks

I think it would be tough. But I always microwave bacon anyway... only takes a minute or two a rasher...

(from raw, I meant to say)

Thank u all for your advice. It sounds like it might be best not to freeze it in the first place but just cook it fresh in the microwave. I am a dinosaur mum and still worry about cooking meat in the microwave. I will now give it ago. Thxs all again!

Anything very greasy is not great frozen and also quickly deteriorates (structurally and in taste, not in a dangerous way) if frozen.

you're not a dinosaur! I was a bit Hmm about cooking bacon in microwave til I stayed with a friend who did it that way. And as storminabuttercup says, you can get microwave trays for the purpose - we've got one and would recommend -but a plate will do in the meantime. Best to cover with a microwave splatter lid/pierced cling-film
