Chocolate spread dessert?

porpoisefull · 07/05/2011 12:12

I have a jar of Waitrose 'Seriously chocolately' chocolate spread. It is awesome but I'm not eating much toast, and I'm wondering whether I could make a dessert with it before it goes off, which would be a sad waste.

Does anyone have any ideas?

thanks

With pancakes? Or nigella has a recipe for nuttela cake (you could probably use normal choc spread as an late alternative).

I use it to make bread and butter pudding. Sometimes I do half nutella and half marmalade on the bread - delicious!

You could use it as the filling for a pie sort of dessert. Biscuit base, choc spread on top, bananas or any other fruit you think would be nice, and whipped cream.

Blend in to milk for chocolate milkshake? Or make a shake with milk, bananas, ice cream and choc spread.

Just add a teaspoon

Ooh!! Or make a summer choc fondue! Just put the choc spread in to ramekins (you could thin with a bit of milk or cream), and cut up loads of different fruits and dipping things. Choc fondue but cold :)
