I am BLW but not sure how to ensure a balanced diet. At the moment my ds just seems to like banana and cheese. I'm not too keen on giving him meat yet in case it's too difficult to chew and we had problems with cooked pepper and him not swallowing it previously. Are there any meal planners I can follow to ensure he gets a balanced diet?

Strips of meat will be sucked rather than chewed - don't be worried to be adventurous with what you give him!

Just make sure that you have a healthy balanced diet, and then give him what you have.

This is a good site to look at if you want reassurance and ideas.

How old is he?

A balanced diet isn't so important at first as most of their nutrition comes from milk - food is more about introducing tastes/textures. Just give him whatever you're having.

Thanks for your advice. He is almost 7mths at the moment. I ebf till 6 mths. Problem with what we have is sometimes it's a bit tricky for him - such as spag bol, or unhealthy e.g. frozen pizza or indian takeaway and he rejects lots of things such as macoroni cheese. When I'm out I often have coffee and cake but don't like to share the cake with him in case its a bit sugary.
