I have a 19 week old baby,I've been told about weaning from 6 months whichh I plan to wait to or wait unntil I see some signs that he is ready, I'm just wondering what is a good food to start on, I was told baby rice but I was planning to start on vegetables, what is the best in your opinions

i started on rice a lttle before 6 months and ds spat it out. if you are waiting until 6 months anything goes, veg is a good place to start with things like sweet potatoes and butternut squash. have you thought about BLW? i wish i had started blw with ds!

Roast carrot and parsnip sticks. Much easier to hold than steamed veg, less slippery.

You can give pretty much anything except honey, whole nuts and added salt if you wait until 6 months. Vegetables will be just fine, no need to waste your money on baby rice. BLW is great but don't get bogged down in labels, just chuck a little of something at your baby however you like :)

Also mine is a spoon refuser except for yoghurt so baby rice never went near him.
