what do I do with tagine paste?

A friend gave me some but the label isn't in english?!

French or arabic? If French, let me know. I think it might go on the meat as a marinade.

arabic. I think marinade is probably the way to go. Its quite thick though. I'm wondering whether i'm supposed to mix it with oil or something?
