Puff pastry question...

if I make some puff pastry mini-tartlets with say, cherry tomato and mozzarella.. Can I freeze them? Or can I only freeze the empty cases?

If not, can I freeze them with an alternative filling?

I've made Delia ones and frozen them before. They aren't as good, IMO, the pastry dries out a bit as does the tomato. They are OK though, and Delia recommends doing it, so maybe I'm just a fusspot.
