Can I make it in the morning and leave it in fridge, to pop in oven late afternoon?
I presume I can, but bit worried the potato might go soggy? Anyone tried it? Thanks

You need the Nigella Lawson Creamy Potato Gratin recipe on www.foodnetwork.com - it is actually better made in advance. I made it for Easter, baked it and reheated the next day, it is always a big hit.

Well?.. At 7.30 this morning I cut up some potatoes, added some single cream and a bit of nutmeg, popped it in the oven, set the timer so it would start cooking at 5.45pm so it is ready for when the nanny gets home with the kids?
Never had any problem doing that, it tastes great and the potatoes don?t turn dark nor do they get soggy.
