We do not eat this enough! I'd love your best tried and tested cous cous recipes please - hot, cold, sweet or savoury, I'm not fussy. I'm not a huge fan of fish, but anything else is great.

TIA

this is gorgeous, and so easy to make!

We would add things like peas, chicken, ham, peppers, red onion, chuckle of cheese. Just left overs really and my kids love it.

We do ours with provencal type veg. Fry off chopped onion, garlic, peppers, diced courgette and diced aubergine. Let it all get a bit golden and soft. Add in some chopped cherry toms and a splash of chicken or veg stock ans some herbs de provance (thyme, rosemary, parsley teyp things). Let it simmer a little til it's all kind of hand a chance to mingle. You want it moist as opposed to wet or dry if you get my drift. Then mix it through couscous that's been rehydrated in chicken or veg stock. Lovely with lamb or any grilled or roasted meat. Or you can do the same with more middle eastern/north african type herbs of cumin and corriander (dry seed/powder and or fresh chopped). Great with slow roast lamb or chops or kofta kebabs. Or you can go for fried onions, garlic, raisins and slivered almonds with the middle eastern herbs and spices. Again lovely with lamb or chicken.

Heaped on top of a halved aubergine and topped with black olives, feta cheese, sun dried tomatoes...mmm Smile

Made with plain boiling water and then a squeeze of lemon, a glug of olive oil, red onion, cucumber, tomato, fresh basil/oregano/coriander/parsley/mint (all of these or none!) salt, pepper and feta.

Actual Joy.

And. Made with chicken stock with a little cumin and ground coriander stirred into it. Then pine nuts, chickpeas, almond flakes, fresh chilli and fresh coriander.

Yum.
