Any suggestions? Coat chicken in egg, then flour with spices but what?

What's your best tasty chicken coating?

I haven't eaten KFC for about 30 years so I'm not aure this will be vey helpful but someone on here recommended an easy chicken nugget sort of thing - dip in mayo, then in crushed Ritz crackers, bake in oven. It was actually very yummy. None of your special herbs and spices, though.

Me too, Trillian - is that site legit?

Rather than fry the chicken, I 'do a Nigella', and soak it in buttermilk (or mixed live yogurt and milk), then coat, then ovem.

ovem = OVEN. Or even better, 'bake'.

3 tablespoons of MSG! Is that not about three years worth of sodium intake?

TrillianAstra · 17/04/2011 14:38

Oven baking sounds easier definitely. I guess the outrageousness of the 3 tablespoons of salt depends on how many bits of chicken that does. I might try Nigella style but with some of the herbs and spices from the KFC site :)
