DH had given up crisps for lent.

He will not eat quavers or hula hoops or tortilla chips.

We are about to go to an Indian restaurant and and he assures me he popodoms are not crisps.

They seems damn crispy to me. Hmm

No, they're not crisps. Crisps are thinly-sliced fried potatoes.

However, if he is putting tortilla chips in the "crisp" bracket then his definition is wider than mine and poppadoms should be included.

He ate 2 popodoms.

I've told him he is going straight to hell. Grin

He has lost quite a lot of weight during lent. Which leads me to think he must he an awful lot of crisps during his working day.

he needed to define his terms properly when Lent started. Was he giving up 'deep fried and baked crunchy things' or 'snacky stuff in packets'?

I would suggest he retrospectively decides the latter and then it will be fine.

It's all about being specific. If you cone across a genie who offers 3 wishes do not let him wish, he will wish in a vague manner and it will all go wrong.

LynetteScavo · 17/04/2011 11:44

Ha, ha, like I would let him have the wishes anyway! He'd be like, "Oh, my first wish is to be an F1 driver! Hmm
